True but with every new job you have to familiarize yourself with a SYSTEM whether it is the it structure, filing system, organizational structure etc... True though the admins have to learn it quick because issues come up on a daily basis.

You bring up quite a few good points. Since that post I've done a lot of soul searching, and realized that moving back there would actually be a very bad idea, but not totally out of the question. I appreciate you taking the time to reply, and wish you luck in your move.

Have you considered that you may just be missing the social networking you are accustomed to?

You don't have to leave your friends behind to move forward, but perhaps you need to focus less on missing your friends and more on developing your social networks in your new location.

I moved from one side of Australia to the other and found myself desperately homesick... untill I managed to develop some good relationships (and that can sometimes take a while). Now I am planing on moving to another country where I don't know anyone for a career opportunity, and I know that I will be homesick for where I am now, but most likely only untill I develop my social networks over there.

If you moved back to California do you really think it would be like it was when you were on holiday from your dream job? ...I think if you answer that question you will have your answer.

There are a few problems with the Apple keyboard in Windows, namely the lack of some keys and support for the others. I haven't searched for that info in a long time so I don't know if anyone's hacked it in. I recommend going and trying the Logitech if you want to compare the two.

I'm looking for a PC keyboard like Apple's latest flat keyboard, and was hopeful about this one, until you mentioned that it actually has a fairly long key travel. Do you happen to know of anything like the Mac keyboard for PCs? (Yes I probably could actually use the Apple keyboard but I want a nice black one.)

Got an mtron SSD in my macbook. Battery life is slightly better(+20min). $380 for a 16GB. Performance is phenomenal though. You can order them from http://www.neostore.com/ . I also put an optibay in with a 250gb in place of the superdrive.
